Ontario field tomatoes are in season from late July to October. For the rest of the year you can find greenhouse and/or hydroponic tomatoes. These tomatoes, however, are not hydroponic. They grow directly in the ground, in a greenhouse. What does that mean? It means all the flavour and nutrition of outdoor, field tomatoes but starting in May.
